VAMPIRES IN THE SUNSHINE - by Ray O'Bannon

vampires in the sunshine, vampires in the sunshine
spinning in the grip of nightmare, flock of vampires chase him down
jimmy runs but something grabs him, monsters rising all around
awakes at last in cold cold sweat, they must be gone, it's just a dream
but there they stand in morning's light, in every eye an evil gleam

chorus:
must have felt good just to see the sunshine
must have felt safe in the light of day
but where you gonna run from a waking nightmare
where can you hide from your own fear
when they refuse to disappear
what if the monster's won't go 'way
vampires in the sunshine, vampires in the sunshine

suzy screams but no-one hears her, runs through twisted alleys black
and suzy dreams of flying gargoyles, cries for help as they attack
awakens then with a sudden jolt, so glad this nightmare's finally done
the creatures just imagination, but there they stand in the morning sun

(chorus)

and what if all those creatures doomed within their dungeons bare
could gaze upon the morning sunlight, breath the early morning air
would they not envy us the day, what might they think, what might they do
be not suprised if you awake to find a monster watching you

vampires in the sunshine, vampires in the sunshine
spinning in the grip of nightmare, flock of vampires after you
rotting zombies call your name, and how you wish this night were through
you wake at last in cold cold sweat, was that a noise beneath your bed
and glancing down you never see the flock of vampires 'bove your head

(chorus)
vampires in the sunshine, vampires in the sunshine...
